The Italian media outlets reported on Monday that many people in the country oppose the warmongering policies of their government as it was visible in the May Day rally in Rome where protesters torched the EU and NATO flags to show their opposition to the two organizations' continued supply of weapons and funding to the war in Ukraine.
Protestors in Italy's Turin city also displayed effigies of Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to mock her during the May Day rally.
In the southern city of Potenza, three main unions held a protest against Meloni's right-wing government.
In a similar rally last year, thousands of Italian protesters described NATO as a terrorist organization.
In other European countries, including France, Germany, Switzerland, Britain, and the Netherlands, people held similar protest rallies on Monday.
